What is the most accurate free language translator?

I have to translate some stuff for a French project, but the translators that I have been using are not very accurate and I don't want a bad grade for incorrect translations. What is the most accurate translator available for free on the internet?





And btw i'm not cheating, I was given permission to use a translator because i'm translating sentences that we haven't learned in class yet.|||I am on Mary and Orla's side. One, online translators ARE hopeless. You will surely get bad marks by using them.


They are MACHINES, machines that cannot cope as soon as you want to translate even the slightest degree of complicated sentence. They CAN'T translate expressions or idioms, they CAN'T give you multiple options with all the explanations like a dictionary can. They DON'T have a big vocabulary, and they WILL make you look stupid ---- all it takes is one sentence, one verb, one word to be wrong and you look stupid.


You should not be studying a language if you are not going to use a dictionary, if you HAVE to learn a language, you should still learn it properly.


By the way, having to write things in a second language that you haven't learned yet is a silly idea, what's more, you don't learn anything from online translators.|||Most free translators are hopeless. You see they are unable to translate with the proper syntax, and even if they can sometimes, they are too limited to translate colloquial expressions. They will contact you and the translator by email. There is a limit on the text though. No more than 800 words. It can take up to 1 week for a translation.|||You know, when you have a project, you are supposed to use a DICTIONARY.



That's what they were invented for.



Failing that, I like Google Translate when I'm feeling too lazy to get my dictionary out...because if you wait a second, it gives you the whole list like you'd find in a dictionary...it's not a bad second choice.



there are also online dictionaries that will do that, as well...give you all the words that mean what you have put into it...

I'll have to remember that it's not as good for non-indo-european languages...seems to do pretty well for Hebrew, though.|||Google Translate, and you really shoudn't be using a translator to complete your french, LOL but i do. I guess google transelator works good for that. i use it alot for transelating from english to spanish.
