That won't crack me up with gobbledegook everytime I try to use it ?
I used Babelfish to communicate with a German buyer on Ebay and he ended up getting a friend to explain - apparently my answer had them both in stitches for about an hour !Is there an online language translator ?
freetranslation.com
it translates through lots of different languages and i believe german is among them
For alternative free online translators, you can try
http://www.freetranslation.com/
http://www.systran.co.uk/
http://translation2.paralink.com/
Unfortunately, there are very few online language translators available for free online. Many of them will give you dodgy translations like Babelfish does. Free online translation programs can have problems with slang and sentence structures and often translate word for word which ends up with weird sentences. Is there an online language translator ?

Also check here for more solutions: http://www.babelfish.org/Is there an online language translator ?
babelfish is supposed to be the best. no online translator can do the job of a human translator. If it means a lot to you communicating with your buyer in german then find a translator to do the job for you:
www.proz.com
Try using Google's language translator.
But a lot of translators I have used makes the sentence sound stupid or not make sense at all.
Google's language translator
You could also try the translator at dictionary.com:
http://dictionary.reference.com/translate/
http://www.freedict.com/onldict/jap.html is good. by the way, the link is to the japanese translator but they have other languages. also, i'll warn you there are adult advertisements.
babelfish.com
Well try google language tools located here:
http://www.google.co.za/language_tools?h鈥?/a>
http://www.philip.straton.org.za/
the problem is
1. syntax of English does not translate well into many other languages
2. many English words can not be translated into some languages
good luck
You can go on Google, click on language tools and translate text in the box it has. Or you can to go www.dictionary.com and click on translator.
